2 months of EBF!!! Proud of myself for sticking with it! It definitely hasn't been the easiest thing but it's so totally worth it! Glad I can give my little boy the best!
Yea it's possible but most women end up losing there supply within the first trimester but some are able to keep it also. But you can tandem nurse! I've always wanted to try that lol
@haybearsmomma, @justmarriedhavingaboy I've been trying to slowly wean him because I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant, my doctor thinks it would be best for me to stop.
@justmarriedhavingaboy, awe I'm really hoping I can start donating right now I prob have like 60oz in my stash, which obviously I wanna keep it just in case something happens!
yay good for you @halsey11 @haybearsmomma that's what were aiming for as well is self wean but if its before two ima be a pumping machine lol. I produce a lot so everytime I've stopped completely I've had a 3 month supply which I donated A LOT of bm to the hospital because I'd rather not throw it. other moms were very thankful
@aprillynn1101, I'm sorry to hear that. I just kept offering my breast without sheild first to see if he'd take and he would for the first week then by two weeks he latched on for the first time and I never used the shield after that. My baby wouldn't eat either for the first 3 days so I had to start pumping. I hate pumping but I do it to keep my supply up. I'm so scared of losing it. But now I'm only pumping twice sometimes 3 times a day. Us moms will do anything for our babies! 😊 I hope soon you won't have to use the shield! But even if you do that's fine! Your doing great! Breast is best!
@haybearsmomma, yes my son will be 4 weeks on Tuesday and I have had the same issues he still doesn't want to latch with out the nipple shield and I had to do a lot of pumping and lactation recipes to get my supply up cause he didn't want to eat he was jaundice and had a traumatic birth so he has had a lot of trouble breast feeding but we are sticking with it luckily my supply is fine now
Breast milk is awesome! Our bodies are awesome!! And yay. I plan on just letting him self wean. When ever he's ready, I'll be so sad! Lol @justmarriedhavingaboy
yes! I was talking to my husband about how the milk is tailored to their needs and all the benefits. my older 3 children I bf for a year or so but I'm planning on pumping and bf until two with this one. I love seeing bf moms doing their thing regardless what social media says or tries to make us feel. it's :-! good for you for getting info and going for it!
Yea it is!! You have to be determined to do it. It's a lot of work and most people give up on it so easily and a lot aren't educated enough. I quit BF my first child at one week cause "I thought I wasn't producing enough" but in reality I was. So this time I made sure I educated myself before baby came! And in glad I did. I'm not gonna lie there were times I so wanted to give in, but my baby deserves the best and I'll give him the best! @justmarriedhavingaboy
@aprillynn1101, thank you! It was very rough in the beginning! He wouldn't latch so I had to pump or use a nipple shield. But I kept working with him and by two weeks he finally latched on! I still pump also and I'm trying to build up a freezer stash so I can hopefully donate to a mommy in need!!
