I've already told Dr that baby is to go no where til I get time with her bc his mother acts like this is her child it's been a rough couple of weeks n now I'm having complications of lightheaded and weakness and pressure waiting on Dr to call

excuse me. that's your son. should should be able to spend a good amount of time with him before everyone else. that's a bit selfish for her to say.

also does your hospital do rooming in? if so your baby won't be in the nursery unless you send him/her

@mamatobetayyy, is correct they won't take baby to a room full of people.... and it's only you and your boyfriend in recovery

my daughter went into the recovery room and waited for me (my husband was in there also) so the baby won't go back to your room without you or at least shouldn't.... your boyfriend should stay there with you or in recovery with baby, it seriously doesn't take long I was in recovery for an hour but I was in the operating room for maybe half and hour and that's from first cut to tubal to stitches..... there is no reason for him to leave you

They don't let him stay in the room for the whole surgery they will put us in a room after they get done stiching me up from the c-section

Like I'm confused. They aren't going to take your newborn away and into a room full of people to be passed around while you're still in surgery. That's your moment. They will be weighing him and cleaning him up and you will be doing skin to skin

Wait what???? Your boyfriend would leave before you are even stitched up to go eat?? Hell no! 1. That doesn't take that long. 2. He shouldn't be leaving your side. 3. Nobody will hold your baby before you? Don't let them think otherwise. You can tell the nurses that. And the only way his mom would even be near baby while your getting stitched up is if you let her in the room?
