Just wanting some opinions. As I stated before, I go to a midwife clinic with several different midwives. They switch up everytime I go in for an appointment so I get the chance to meet all of them. my main concern is that I did the strep B test today and they made me swab myself in the bathroom, and they also told me that they don't check for dilation until I go into labor and go to the actual hospital. This really makes me nervous bc now that I think back to all my appointments.....they never even once looked down there at my pelvic area. No-one has ever looked at me at all down there. Is this normal?
Mine made me do the strep b test myself too, but she did check for dilation after
the checking wouldn't worry me...making me do a medical diagnostic test myself would!!
My midwives do the strep b test themselves and they are supposed to give you a pelvic exam at the beginning of your pregnancy and then check you around 37 weeks-38 weeks. At least that's what my midwives do. That's not normal.
Not checking for dilation until in active labor can be normal for some facilities, but they should of at least done a pap smear or something for your first appointment.
when I first started to go to the dr. they started out with a pap smear and when I was experiencing some contractions early on my dr. did another pelvic exam to make sure everything was ok as well as an ultrasound from inside. I was just checked on Monday for dilation bcuz I was having even more contractions and he performs the test. they also make me pee in a cup everytime I go to make sure there is not infections or stuff in my urine that shouldn't be there.
No that's not normally the case at all sounds like lazy ppl to me
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
I have not had a pelvic exam at all, but they are going to start checking me dialation next week at 36 weeks. Since theyre midwives maybe theyre doing things the more natural way and just letting your body take control. Do you feel comfortable there?
