Tell her government help is NOT easy to get especially housing. I know here in Massachusetts you're put on a waiting list they don't care if you're having a baby or not. It's one thing if you get pregnant unplanned but to know you have no money and can't afford to take care of yourself and STILL try for a baby that's not a good idea ❌❌❌

Honesty you should go off on her, give her a reality check. Whether it comes off as bitchy or not she needs to know what she's doing isn't right

@kellynicole, it's very irritating where we live because if you have a child you can literally get anything you want. I'm like wow my taxes are paying for that?! lmao but yeah I know she keeps blowing up my phone I'm about to tell her to f off

Wow really? I mean that's good for the people that need it but if it's that easy to get what you want then I'm sure there's tons of people taking advantage of it. Its sad but it happens here too

ita one thing to get pregnant on accident when your in a tight spot but to do it on purpose and not know if you can provide a solid roof for your baby is madness!!!

I agree with @kellynicole housing is not easy to get into.... here if you have discrepancies on your record even a parking ticket it takes longer.... I had a friend who was just like your friend , she was lucky enough to have her grandmother buy her a house (her mom pays the mortgage I beleive) and her husband would bitch about the bills and hardly pay them so her mom had those too... now she is divorcing her husband so she has no income (she had been born with a broken back and she is banking on getting disability which she has been denied like 4 times now)... tell your friend the harsh reality of it all..... someone obviously needs to set her straight

as someone whose going through financial issues and having a baby arriving in 4 short weeks. express to her it's not easy.. it's gonna be VERY hard. we barely get by. and we have all kinds of help from family and it's still not enough. although I'm glad for my son. but if I could've times better, I would have. it's not worth struggling. it's not fair to others whose taxes go towards people who can find a way to help themselves but chose not to. and that's not gonna be fair to that child either. my boyfriend works 2 jobs. one that's 10 an hour, and another that's a 2 night a weekend waiting job. and it's STILL not enough. I'm high risk so I was advised to not work until after 6 weeks post partum. I understand she's wanting a baby. but she's gotta look at the long run in being able to take care of herself WHILE pregnant as well. not just having the joy of a child. I don't regret my son at all in any way. but I just truly wish we were more financially stable so we could provide more for him and ourselves. we currently live with his mother paying 400 a month. and then half the bills. my boyfriend with his 10 dollar job getting paid weekly in a month he makes maybe 670. but he's so in debt with people it's all gone in a matter of seconds. she really needs to open her eyes to see how she'd be struggling if she can't even afford to pay a cellphone bill, but wanting a baby.

I wont lie. Military saved our ass by providing a better job for my husband but we found our home on our own and moved 730 miles to get it, sold my 93 lumina for 3 grand to get there, but we made it. If shes having a baby she needs to try and provide she needs to save up she needs to be what the baby needs..

Oklahoma is such a mother favoring state she will probably be able to get free house as soon she gets pregnant honestly. but if she does anytime I'll be the first to call CPS honestly cause she will probably be calling for food and all kinds of stuff!

she needs to get her ass in gear. if she wants a baby, then she needs to get a good job, her husband needs a good job and they need to save up for a little bit. we used to think we'd be just fine. we were wrong. and the reality is, when a baby is on the way. that baby isn't gonna stop, so once shit gets hard for them she's gonna be like me and become frantic, and stress. it's not worth having less for a child. but I know WE will find a way. but the phrase "you made your bed, so you can lay in it " is something she will end up replaying for 9 long months. I wasn't even trying when I got pregnant. we were ttc and we had just made the decision to stop for a while so we can become financially stable. then next thing I know a week after my boyfriend quit his job, I was pregnant. he went right back out and got another one that was a Waffle House cook and waiting job. Just started the better paying one a month ago. she's gonna be in for it if she doesn't come to terms with the fact this isn't easy at all. @amber188

you should tell her to go to babies r us and price things and then add it all up for diapers, wipes, clothing, a crib, mattress, bottles, breast pumps, formula, bibs, mattress sheets, stroller, carseat and let her see how much it really adds up especially with diapers. heck baby things at Walmart are even kind of pricey and that doesn't even include extra things you may want for the baby.
