@franchesca, you apply for social security in the hospital..... it usually comes with in 1-2 weeks side by side with the birth certificate

You should've filled papers out in the hospital. I got my son's social security card in the mail and his birth certificate at dmv
Yeah usually someone comes to your room about it at the hospital. If you didn't get anything you should call social security and inform them to see what you should do.
Hospital you should call because eventually you have to go to city hall and get everything birth certificate etc...
