What do you think? My baby daddy is engaged and has a baby of his own. He won't sign his rights over which really upsets me bc he claims to want to be in my babies life But has yet to come to any of the appointments. My fiance wants to adopt my baby but can't unless baby daddy signs his rights over. I've already explained my feelings over and over but he still feels he is never going to sign his rights over. Any ideas? #Fustrated
not sure why he would come to the Dr's appts if u two aren't together. That's more of him being there for u. you have to give him a chance to be there for his child when they are born before u try and cut him off
I just think it will hurt our baby more if he's only there once in a blue moon. @suprise4
I never thought of writing all the stuff down, thanks I even tell him the time and dates of appointments. He still doesn't show. I told him my baby doesn't need a once a week dad. He still doesn't get the importance of stability. @Sweetpeasmama716
It's a plus the father actually wants to be in the child's life. Unfortunately going to the doctor is more of a support role and if he doesn't want to do that don't count him out. Baby will be blessed to have two father figures as long as he really wants to be apart of baby's life
if he's anything like my ex he won't wanna pay child support so he'll drop it.
if he doesn't come around then you can put your fiance on the birth certificate, baby daddy would have to request a dna test to get any rights.... or if you don't wanna do that, you can always keep track of all communication and prove to the court that he isn't being a father to the baby and try to get his rights revoked.
@coey247, he deserves a chance to prove that he will be in the baby's life, the baby isn't here yet.
