So my roommate is pregnant same time I am and she is literally not telling anyone and personally I think its because she doesn't want to quit smoking or drinking a beer here and there. It really upset me because not only does she smoke cigarettes but she actually smokes them out of a bong (mokie?). I am doing everything to keep my baby healthy (this is my 2nd). I know I shouldn't be so upset but I am. She wanted to get an abortion but decided not to once she found out she couldn't just take a pill. I don't know if I'm just taking it personally because I am a mom and also pregnant but I just want to break the bong and slap her. Also she is already in her second trimester and still not really seeming to care.

In my opinion if she needs to smoke to calm down than she should smoke a bowl not a cigarette. She is just a selfish person and doesn't care. She even threatens her boyfriend that if he leaves her she is going to kill herself. He doesn't even want the baby. He told her that baby isn't going to change how he lives his life.
@jlowe000, I got pregnant and before I even took the test I knew I was because I threw up every time I took a drag so I quit. but she even said yeah I used to get really sick after smoking but I just kept on doing it and now it doesn't bother me. In my eyes she should have quit then. It wouldn't have been harder for her to stop. She was getting super sick from smoking. If she quit it probably would have barely effected her.
I don't agree with smoking while pregnant AT ALL but I can be hard to quit. My dad is trying to stop right now and he can't even focus at work because he's shaking and stuff but she should be at least trying to make a effort. But the beer thing, HELL NO! Beer is not a addiction (unless she's a alcoholic but I'm taking it she's not.) it's sad because it's really her child that's suffering. To have heart problems and stuff won't be their fault, it will be the mothers and they have to live with that.
that's how I feel! Smoking cigarettes while pregnant is selfish. even my SO has said something to her. AND her SO. Like how many people have to tell you! I have started putting research on my Facebook page about what could happen maybe she will get the idea but probably not.
@jessicahartze, I know for a fact. I watch her smoke just the tabacco. she learned it from a friend since she doesn't have a job to spend money on cigarettes
