so I need to vent, my husband is in the army and has been gone since I was 6 weeks pregnant except for a few weeks over Christmas time. well as things come to end with the pregnancy and I'm preparing to move across the country to his duty station after the baby is born, I have been informed that he will be deploying this summer for another long period of time. I'm proud of him, and I support him whole heartedly. I'm sure it's just hormones but I'm getting this crappy feeling that I feel like a single parent. I love my husband and I don't want a life with anyone else, it's all just happening so fast and I'm having a hard to keeping my shit together. sorry just needed to vent.

@jamielynn07, funny thing is, my husband was in the oil and gas fields before joining the military. so I'm used to making the time we do get together special. so I totally understand your side as well. I'm just extra emotional bc our 1 year wedding anniversary is coming up and he's been gone for almost the whole year and he'll be gone for 9 or so months again. just all hitting me tonight. Thanks dear!

my husband traveled for work in the oil and gas field and I only seen him for 5 days out of the month and even at that I felt so depressed like I was a single mom.. it's hard when people are always asking where he is or when he's coming home..when you go to weddings by yourself and have noone to slow dance with.. it can be so emotional. we have a 3 year old and I always have to tell him daddy is working. I wish you strength because I can't imagine him being gone in the military for that long. I guess what helps me is that I'm proud to say my husband is working and doing the best he can for his family..and in your case the whole country. it's not easy but you do it..and it's setting an amazing example for the children to learn how dedicated their parents are. when you do get time together it means soo much. and when he's gone surround yourself with loved ones. the baby will keep you occupied and when you get emotional just remember how proud you are and how strong you are.
