Today was the first time I've ever felt embarrassed to be a young mother to be. I went to a funeral of a long time family friend and I could just feel the eyes on me and my belly and the disapproving looks from all the old people. they kept asking me about my future and every time I told them something I was originally proud of, it never seemed to be good enough. So not only did I have to grieve the loss of a grandfather-like figure in my life but also this on top of it. And my boyfriend didn't come with me because he was doing his taxes and "couldn't put it off". Ugh

21 isn't too young at all! I thought you would say 16 or something lol! Oh wow that's so soon! Maybe baby is a sign to bring you two closer :)

@adamsmaaa, I know it's not super young but I still feel like a kid. Yeah it was definitely a surprise and wasn't well received by him or his family at first. But things are finally starting to settle down. I'm hoping that's what it means, we had always talked about it for the wayyy distant future

I'm only 20. My immediate family took it well, my parents have always said a baby is a blessing and not a curse. And my two older siblings had kids younger than 20. My aunt on my dad's said told me I wouldn't be able to handle it and I should give him up for adoption, but my parents told me to ignore her and I would be fine taking care of him. And I'm not with my baby's father either. He hasn't been involved my whole pregnancy, besides trying to tell me I had to give him a certain name. if you think you can handle a baby at your age, that is all that matters. the only opinion on anything involving YOUR baby, is you.

Im 27 and I still feel like a kid! Hahaha once you become a mommy, your life will change! Trust me. U won't even care about half the things U did before. Don't worry about his family at all, not even yours. All that matters now is your baby. Ignore anyone and everyone. They're nothing. This baby is about to become your entire world

No problem, and trust me, I get dirty looks all the time too because I have a major baby face and literally look about 14 or 15. at least that's what I get told constantly

I had my first child a month before I turned 20 and am due with my 2nd at 24. When I had my son went to the mall with him in his pouch and when he moved this lady walked up to me and was like is that a real baby I thought it was one of those high school practice babies. I am like no he is real and my son. She had the nerve to say you look like your only 16 I snapped back and was like no I'm 20 but thank you. She looked embarrassed and walked away. Don't let anyone's judgement make you feel bad you will be a great mom and hey us younger moms can better keep up with our children.
