having bad contractions was at 1cm around 5 now I'm at 3cm what does this mean the nurse isn't explaining anything to me and they are Taking their precious time

@naerae54, and it's a good thing u left when they said u were 3 cm because once you hit active labor they won't let you leave. (or that's how my OB works anyway)
@naerae54, as uncomfortable you've been I'd say that's a good thing. lol explains why it's been so uncomfortable lately too. he's probably already into the position he needs to be.

I'll be surprised if you don't have a baby by at least Wednesday if you keep at the rate you are even before Tuesday lol

4 cm and beyond is considered active labor. since you're not 39 weeks they can't help speed anything up but they aren't going to stop labor either.
omg I hate that!! they don't tell you anything and they take forever. they don't take anything into consideration, the least they could do is keep someone updated
@naerae54, they get worse.. way worse. but maybe they won't get too bad.
