Is it a bad idea that I don't want any alcohol of any kind at my baby shower next week? Everyone keeps telling me that a party without alcohol isn't a party. Ugh it's a damn baby shower & it's my choice

I wouldn't mind wine but they want beers @babyg407, they even offered to buy me the alcohol 😏 @kimberlyyyy, that's what I was saying but my family like alcohol too but not like his fam I'm Dominican & he's Honduran so it's like they love alcohol @emilyg, his family is not crazy but his friends are which is worst. My family kind of respect my decision but they would love alcohol too & they really don't know how to act @desi720,
No because I'm having two showers . One with my family and one with his . The one with my family will have no alcohol and the one with his will . And for that reason I'm really not looking forward to attending the shower with his family . I don't think the shower should have things that the mom to be can't participate in...@almanicolee
@almanicolee, I know how you feel my family wants to have alcohol too but the last shower we went to they served alcohol and people don't know how to act
My SO's family is Puerto Rican & they are all planning on drinking at our shower. His dad is a dj & is setting up all his equipment. I'm so nervous about it, our families couldn't be more different. They make it more of an actual party, celebrating the baby! I just made him promise that the music & drinking will wait until after my family leaves.
I didn't know it, but my parents brought beer and wine to mine. =\
Most of the baby showers I've been to have wine but if you have people that go overboard it's understandable not to have anything.
Yes I think every Hispanic that has a baby shower has to have alcohol lol @livd15, I am & plus I don't have that type of money to be buying alcohol for more than 100 guest, not happening & I agree with you 100% they need to be there for the baby @adotlindley
that's understandable I say stand your ground....if they're really there to celebrate your baby's life they'll be there without the alcohol just my opinion tho
Honestly every baby shower I've been to had alcohol. My SO family think is necessary & I honestly don't want no rude or drunk people or any fighting @livd15 @adotlindley @jadestarlight
it is most definitely your choice so if you say no they must respect that
