@woccanmommy, that's what the consultant said too but I think I'm gonna mainly pump and try to breast feed throughout the day cause this way I can keep track of her feedings

If they are that engorged you should try expressing some before trying to get her to latch

@wiccanmommy, she doesn't realize my nipple is a nipple due to how engorged my breasts are :(

My baby girl is 3 weeks and she has had latch issues since birth. I'm meeting with a lactation consultant Monday. Hoping she can help us out. But I've been pumping so that she gets breast milk. She's been taking anywhere from 2-3 oz every 2-3 hours (longer at night) since she was a week old. Just give her what she wants. If she looks like she is still looking for it or that she isn't satisfied up the amount next feeding

There isn't a set number. Every baby is different. Just as the amount you can eat would vary from me. She'll let you know if she wants more. Is there a specific reason she can't latch?
