My almost three week daughter has been fed. Changed. And we've been snuggling forever. She's continuously crying for no reason. She's not sick. This will be the second night in a row doing this if she keeps it up. Is it really okay to set her in her crib and let her cry it out until she falls asleep?

Just keep her close and try skin to skin.

Crying it out isn't good for her brain development. She needs you. Maybe try to let her fall asleep snuggled with you and then set her in her crib?

My first had some nights like this around the same age. He had bad gas/reflux at that age :( unfortunately that young babies can't self soothe, so snuggles, rocking, putting baby in a carrier and wearing them all help! The baby carrier has always been our life saver.

I hope you get through this bumpy path my son got colicky at 3 weeks and continued until he was 6 months when they decided acid reflux. I had to get one of those prop up things for his bed and it was a nightmare. hopefully that isn't you're issue

@akm2208, we feed her upright, and we keep her upright for at least 15 minutes after eating. We might try something for gas in case it's not working.

@raegenice, she hates pacifiers. She'll cry if you put it in her mouth and she spits it right out. We're gonna try music but nothing else that usually calms her down is working. She's been fighting sleep A LOT after her jaundice cleared up.

Have you tried a pacifier? Music? Or some kind of other stimulation to soothe her?

try having her sleep in an upright position like a bouncer or something like that. my kids were that way but it was acid reflux

I'm a first time mommy, but I've babysat a lot. It's definitely okay to let her cry. So long as there are no signs that she is in any pain or discomfort, not too hot/cold she just may be tired.

No she doesn't know how to self sooth yet call doctor and ask for some ideas she may also be gassy
