to me it looks normal. no redness, no discharge. probably just needs a couple more days. looks fine! :)

that looks exactly like my baby's. her ped said it was nothing to worry about unless it showed signs of infection

@supermom1104, @nikolaismommy I'm going to keep it clean & I haven't let her diaper cover it so it gets air. She has a doctors appointment on Monday so I'll ask him then. Thanks guyss :)

My daughter's looked like this, the part that looks "gooey" ended up scabbing up. she still has a very small scabbed section and she's 1 month today. I don't put anything on it at all, and I make sure keep baths short enough that the scan won't get soft and come off.

i wouldn't put anything on it, it will close up without you putting anything on it or cleaning it

does it seem like it hurts her when you touch it ?? ... idk , it looks infected in the pic . maybe check it out soon with her pediatrician , better safe than sorry

oh ok! well it looks ok to me, I would just clean it with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol. if it doesn't hurt her and she isn't running a fever she should be ok. :)

it just needs to heal and close up a little more, dont submerge her in water yet and make sure its not covered by diaper! it should close up in a few days, my daughters looked like this inside as well...dr told me it just needs to close up, but if it looks swollen id call her dr

It's just not 100% healed up yet. she's able to take baths now that it fell off, but I would be careful to not let her belly button soak in water for to long until it's completely healed up.

@nikolaismommy, its not discharge but the middle is like an off white sort of color. It doesn't look swollen to me, it only pokes out like in this pic when she cries really hard, bc she was hungry & i was changing her diaper

is that discharge? what color is it? does it look swollen to you?
