My doctor called and said my quad screen has informed her that I am at an increase chance of downs with my baby. (1 in 145) Anyone else go through this?

the younger you are the higher the chance for a false positive! I wouldn't worry if I was you. my doctor advised against it my last pregnancy for that reason

Yeah what @pixiestix said! That's why I hate those test! So many false positives! I had a test say I was an undetermined carrier of Tay Sachs. Got another test done that test for the same thing and it came back negative.

Good to know. Thanks ladies. I'm not super worried because that is still less than a 1% chance but as a first time mom I'm going to worry about it all.

My doctor actually didn't want me to get those tests done because they had so many false positives with them
