I guess I should have worded that better lol I meant went it comes to accidents.. Spankings and punishments don't really work.. I'm not against spanking for punishments but in my belief and what I've witnessed with potty accidents it's not efficient.

@katierouleau21, I believe in spanking. I was spanked and learned to be good. it didn't affect me in any way. there's a difference between spanking and abuse. she didn't deserve three smacks. @hockeymama we tried everything else. for us corporate punishment works. to each their own. that doesn't mean there isn't a limit.

It's proven that punishing for accidents doesn't help.. Rewards and praise!! I had to ask my son every 2 hours if he had to go potty.. If it was a no we still went and tried. Just an idea

In my opinion violence only brings more violence. I honestly think it's only okay to use when the child does something that will hurt himself
