So I went to a pregnancy center to get my proof of pregnancy. Finally. I went Thursday so as of today I'm 11 weeks. Even though this is my third child, I'm still nervous. And I can't seem to quit smoking. With my other two it was SO easy for me to quit cold turkey but not so much this time around. I've cut back a lot, but just can't fully quit. Any advice or tips?
@savannahapagiebridges, yeah, my mother smoked through out her pregnancy with my brother. The doctor told her not to stop completely but cut back a lot. It just bothers me that it was so easy with my two girls.
Lollipops seem to help. And trust me I know. My fiancee doesn't smoke! But everybody that I know are big time smokers and everytime they light one up, I'm like gimme gimme gimme. Lol
@naveyah4765, a lollipop! I'll have to try that! It's definitely a lot harder with my fiancé and my sister smoking around me. I mean they go outside, but it's like I know what they're going out there to do lmao.
I've had the same problem! And today has been my 5th day without a cigerette! It's not easy, and this is my first so I can only imagine with the third! But the way I'm handling it is finding other things to occupy my time. There's times where I want a cigerette but I fight the craving and I do something else like look at the baby's ultrasound pics, cloths, etc. or I'll just drink something cold, eat chocolate, suck on a lollipop, or eat a carrot. Everybody is different and everybody has different strategies
I've cut way back, on most days at least. there are some days I just fail completely. but my doctor said to try to cut back, even if I can't quit and that if I'm stressed too much trying to quit it will be just as harmful to baby so not to stress myself out.. I wish I could do better than I am though
