The biggest party I had ever first planned was my daughter's 1st bday. I've planned many others since, but that was my initiation into the mommy world of bday parties. Everyone has different ways they'd like to do things, but my advice is to starting planning 3 months in advance and stocking up on supplies. It gets expensive if you do it all at once. I think I spent a few grand my first time (I've since learned how to budget better, lol). Now, mine was totally way more than what it should've been, so don't think you need to go crazy on it. I also suggest checking out dollar stores, they have some good party supplies! I usually will buy the expensive character/theme plates for cake and ice cream, but I choose a solid color plate for food (much cheaper). There are a ton of tips I could give you, but it just all depends on what you are trying to do.

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
