Is it okay to switch prenatal vitamins. I had been taking one a day women's prenatal which is like $32.00 which I honestly will not pay that much for vitamins and then I have Similac prenatal vitamins which are 13.00? Am I wrong for wanting to be cheap as far as the vitamins I am taking for my baby
@aliyah1994, after 3 days of them making me sick I gave up on them...then I was told to take them during a meal.. I still haven't tried it. lol
@lilmommy93, no ma'am I have not had them before. I just bought the Similac brand because I ran out of the trial box for the one a day prenatal
@aliyah1994, have you taken the simlac before? I tried them and they made me so sick... I also hated that it was 2 huge tablets at a time.
Just make sure they have the iron you need in them. I know most gummies don't have iron in them. I personally take the Walmart brand prenatals. They're a 30 day supply and there's two different pills you have to take but they don't make me sick and I get all my vitamins I need from them. And they're around $6. I'm a penny pincher also!
I looked online at which ones were the best. I ended up getting the naturemade prenatal plus dha. They are $12 for 90. Never had a problem with them, would recommend them. The walmart brand were cheap but gave me awful constipation and it stopped as soon as I switched vitamins. The only thing you have to look for is how many you have to take in a day to get 1 dose. Most gummys are 2 or 3 to get 1 dose which makes them pricey.
I just take $4 vitamins. has all the same vitamins as the more expensive ones but cheap.
you can use any prenatals at any time. everytime I ran out I got a different type I'm a penny pincher. so cheaper was always my best friend. as long as it has your folic acid in it and other needed nutrients it's fine. by my third trimester I was finishing up a bottle of children's multivitamins bc prenatals began to make me sick. now I'm not even taking any sort of prenatal anymore. but long as you get your nutrients from whatever prenatals you buy, they'll be just fine. and yes you can do Flintstones gummies or Flintstones hard vitamins as well if prenatals make you sick.
I tried the similac and nooooo never again lol maybe it's different for everybody but personally me I wouldn't recommend them
As long as they have the folic acid in them & they are prenatal vitamins I don't see it being a harm at all to your baby or you. I would always consult with your doctor though next time you have an appointment! 😊
Am I The Only One Who Doesnt Take My Prenatal Vitamins
Am I the only who forgets often / don't take prenatal vitamins??
Am I the only person that takes my prenatal vitamins everyday since I've become pregnant ???
What happens if you don't take your prenatal vitamins? Any mommies have experience this ? (I take mine but a friend of mine is so worried)
the prenatal vitamins I take are seriously disgusting; makes me sick. any suggestions on better vitamins?
Okay well thank you for giving me heads up about your experience with taking the Similac prenatal vitamins. Hopefully I I'll not have a terrible experience taking them. @lilmommy93
