Do a secure credit card , you can only spend however much money you put on the card both me and my mom are doing that right now to build our credit

I wish they looked at what's important. which is that you can and do pay your bills

I know but for the past year and a half I thought paying bill (since that's the responsible thing to do) would build some credit, I wasn't aware till we went to the bank that we have none and none of our bills count. we also do not want to get credit cards because its too easy to dig yourself a hole.

we worked on our credit for a year and a half and now qualify for a home loan. it's a matter of building credit sometimes.. especially when you use secure credit cards!
