So I'm trying to finish this application for our (hopefully) future apartment, and I'm starting to freak out a bit…

damn 585? my monthly rent is 1,600 😩😩 thats what i get for living in cali tho lol

at 19, with a 2 year old daughter and no family or anyone around to help me, and no car I signed a lease for my first apartment. every month my bill for rent was $1,030 and I only worked at waffle house when I started out.

eventually I moved up to working at olive garden and got a nice car.

it's not always easy, but I went into my apartment knowing it would be hard but that no matter what I would figure it out and do what needed to be done.

just don't be below working minumum wage if that's all you guys can find right now.

but if your husband struggles to find a job for to long, I would definitely look into getting a job as a waitress at least to get bills paid until he finds a job and you can stop working again.

Have him start looking for jobs out there now. When I moved from Nevada to Kansas my husband had job prospects before we even came out here. Although we moved in with family we still had bills to pay so I wanted to make sure we would be able to pay those on time. Don't stress out too much. Moving states is scary but definitely have him start looking online for jobs out there now it'll put your mind at ease

@santistevanmommie, I've been helping him put in some applications, no call backs yet....@crunchymomma, if push came to shove I could try and get a job too, but our girl is exclusively breastfed and because of her tongue/lip tie she feels discomfort sucking from a bottle and won't eat from them, so I'm scared of leaving her for 8 hours a day because she won't eat....@daisyr3, yes, it's very cheap which is why this is basically our only option, we can't afford it here in Cali....I'm just scared to death of not having income to pay for it, even though it's only 585....😢

Me and my husband werr in the same situation. What we did is he started to apply everywhere before we moved from Georgia to Washington. Ya it took about 2 months to find something but he did. Now we are applying for an apartment and we have to start all over with furniture. It's super stressful but you guys will get through it. Take it one day at a time it's what we do. We also reassure each other that we'll get back on our feet soon for our little girl.

That's the first step. I agree with @babynessa it might take that almost 2 months to find something but something will come through.

@babynessa, I really hope you're right, this is so scary I just want what's best for our daughter....last time he changed jobs he found two in a week, he declined one because it was really far from where we live and he didn't wanna waste gas driving over 40 miles per day....but all the experience he has is as a shift lead for Jack in the Box and also as a dish washer for a restaurant, so his options are limited....

The job my husband found right now is in Oregon and we live in Washington. Plus we have no car. He's been there for 3 weeks now and the job is already giving him a raise soon plus paying $500 to get his work clothes. It's hard but if your man has to drive a little for a good paying job then in the end it may be worth it. Just keep your head up. You guys will make it. @hellosweetie
