Went to the doctor yesterday and had to see a high risk Doctor. With all the horrible pressure I'm having we found out that I'm starting to dilate! I'm only 33 weeks and with my other three kids have never been told this, this early! I am completely scared out of my mind that she is going to be coming too early!
U can stay at the same centimeters for a long time don't worry just rest
As long as your membranes haven't broke you're fine! Once you've had children dilation is easier, it also depends on the length of time from the previous pregnancy to this one. If they are really worried, they'll stitch your cervix closed until way closer to due date.
@baileysmommy, I wouldn't worry about it to much, I started seeing a specialist at 18weeks because they were worried she was coming early because my cervix was 2cm and all I did was bed rest and only got out of bed to shower and use the bathroom and my last appointment they said I was fine and that I was back to almost 3cm but that was for length not dilating but still bed rest helps a lot. And there have been many people who dilate around 20weeks and end up making it to 40 weeks. Just take it easy.
I don't have that, and we were worried about her being to big also but we had an ultrasound in Jan and she was at 3lbs 4oz and my doc said she should be around 6-7 when born. I'm just really worried something is going on. I've always had a problem dilating, and I know that each one is different but I've never dilated this early.
no because I have gestational diabetes and he's been way two big for my body for a while now.
@a011083, did they say anything to do or just keep an eye on you?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
??????October 2018 babies??????
Congratulations to everyone who have received their bfp!

I get worried bc I haven't had any issues with this pregnancy until now, and with my other 3 I was on bed rest and had preterm labor. And I know that you can stay at the same for awhile but you either dilate fast or slow.
