I love my midwife!!! So happy I went midwife instead of a GYN
your welcome and oh ok, your far from me, I live in Gainesville@mommy2be102016
Thank you so much lady's I really appreciate it. @ankanelly96 I live in the Clearwater area. @morgan_colangelo I think the more personal would be my preferences. But I will look into both options.
I had an ob with my first and this time had a midwife. I much preferred the midwife experience. It seemed more personal and she was there for me the whole time I was laboring. Holding my hand, breathing with me. While the ob just stopped in when she needed to check me and when it was time to push. I saw a midwife in the hospital--so they're more than equipped for emergency situations and you can see them whether you want to go naturally or have pain medication. I needed a bit of pitocin to jumpstart my contractions but didn't end up getting pain meds. Definitely look into the options in your area.
Midwives are amazing if you can go natural but they cannot provide care in many emergency situations. I would have loved to use a midwife but, twins were a big NOPE for them.
I had an obgyn, but we wanted more of a personal delivery. No one but me my fiancé and doctors in the room for laboring or delivery. A midwife is very motivational I've heard and is like a second husband in all of the laboring it seems to me lol. No matter what you choose it's gonna be the greatest experience bringing your baby into the world 😊
if you don't mind me asking, where do you live at in Florida @mommy2be102016
My midwife is always available regardless is time and date for any questions concerns or emergencies and when I go to my appointments it's about a 5 mins wait if that...and if for some reason it's longer they let me know. I started off with an OBGYN but it was always an hour wait to be seen and then the visit only last about 10 mins so I would be waiting my lunch or entire day waiting to be seen, and appointments were always so hard to get or even get a hold of anyone if something came up. I was a number rather than an a first time expecting mom. Not only do I feel special and relaxed every time I go to see my midwife my boyfriend loves going too and always excited and relax; he hated going to the GYN office because of how I was treated and the wait of everything. @mommy2be102016
