when you argue with someone who thinks a military discount should always apply to them becausd they're the dependent and DESERVE it because they sacrificing time spent with someone who choses to sacrifice so much for your freedom.
I'm sorry I find it greedy if you're abusing a military discount. oh you're husband is deployed and you think you have a right to a 10 percent discount off a dollar sweet tea because you're sacrificing your time with them? there's a difference in abusing the shit when they're not around and when it applies to you when they're right there with them! yes military families have it hard. but that does not mean you go and demand a discount for being a dependent!

I constantly see women and men do this all the time, just because their husband/wife are in the service. as a person in the military with a military SO, I'm just like seriously? I've been in for a couple years now and have used my military discount one time, and it was on Veterans Day at that. I don't even think about asking for it when I go anywhere, because most people don't join the military for 10% off of an iced tea!

At my work they give senior discounts but not military. If you think they abuse it you should see how worked up old people get when you tell them they can't use they're discount on items that are already sale! Lol! You're already getting like $5 off, sorry I'm not allowed to give you an extra 15%. Or when people who are clearly not seniors ask for the discount, then flip out when you ask to see their ID. It's ridiculous!

@vrf04042016, oh heck no man. if I would've heard that I probably would have had to say something. some military wives already have access to the bank accounts, the health insurance, and everything else that's absolutely needed. a military discount...a mere 10 percent discount is the least of your worries. I was a dependent under my dad. now soon my son will be a dependent under his father after he's finished with all of his stuff. I won't until we get married. and I'm perfectly okay with that. 10 percent isn't that big of a deal to me. regardless what I'll be going through. I'll be proud that my man is gonna serve to make this world a better and safer place for our son and so we can be financially stable to raise him better than we had it. I wouldn't ever demand a discount for being the military wife just because my boyfriend /husband choses to protect his country. it just sounds too greedy for me

@xbbycolletto, from the sounds of it - her Daddy has enabled this behavior. Spoiled brat but if it wasn't military discount it would be something else.

@aniyahsmommy_0623, exactly. and I know a lot of people in the military who just don't ask for it. some places if they see you are active duty, retired they just give it to you without even asking. for some people that's their only form of ID. their military id

@carlitojrmami, exactly. growing up I wasnt spoiled like that. and as an adult. I HATE having to ask my dad for money. this girl doesn't even have a job, and every night she's out partying in Dubai like money isn't shit to her. man if I was getting 5 grand from my dad every week I'd be saving the hell out of it. the hell do you mean you deserve everything? she deserves to be slapped on the wrist for thinking that she's above all because she's the daughter of a military man who makes up for not being there because he sacrifices so much, by buying her everything because if he doesn't she complains. I went to high school with her. she just flat out expects everything to be handed to her.

I've never asked for a military discount only discount im demanding is a employee (if I work at the place) I've worked retail while I was in the military and I've had people curse me behind the discount. I would just say maam I'm the last one trying to stop from giving you a discount because I am in the military and we dont give them. shut their asses up. lol.

oh wow @xbbycolletto she's a gold digger that's sad . that's too much she's too spoiled that's the problem

growing up my father told me to not use his discount. and his words stuck by me "I understand you are under me. you have my insurance, and much more. but be respectful to those who are not serving in the military. and how they see it if you the dependent come in and ask for a discount when it's you who whose not doing the service your country. Just because I am military does not mean you get every perk. it's not fair to those who don't receive a discount." and I've always gone by that. I've never argued with it. but this girl.. she always got some kinda greedy outlook on shit. damn near 25 years old and her dad buys her an apartment in Dubai, then she gets 5000 bucks every damn week from him! like seriously!? @carlitojrmami

I know this girl personally. and she does infact abuse the discount. everywhere she goes she asks "can I have a military discount? " and I'll be like. FOR WHAT!?

like this is legit her argument. that because her entire family is military and she's a dependent and has to sacrifice time with them, that she DESERVES it. the original status was about being at a fast food restaurant and how a dependent wife was denied the discount because their rules at that place is you must be in uniform. an active duty memver or a retired military member to receive the discount @carlitojrmami @julissalarinaa
