just make it something with close family, and then later on I'm sure you'll have a baby shower and then the whole family could go to that.

when I was thinking of having one I was only going to invite close family/friends something small.

if you havnt talked to them in a month don't invite them.. I have a large family and that's how I plan to figure out who to invite for my wedding.. unless there where significant in your life
