If anyone is trying to get any tattoos done on them, I really recommend you not to especially if you are pregnant. You can seriously HARM the child!
guess they just dont bother me, I'm not really one to argue bc I dont really care the reasoning lol I'm not going to put my daughter at risk over ink I can wait
Your HR goes up from just rolling over in bed. It's just so minor you don't notice.
I have a big back piece too and it didn't hurt till he got to my spine too and the base of my neck. As far as HR unless you were hooked to a machine I can pretty much promise your HR went up. Your HR can increase and you not even notice.
exactly agree with you I'm all for tattoos lol I'm getting one covered and getting 2 new ones in August After she's born I love them but love my daughter more I would never risk her life over ink:) i see nothing wrong with your post @lafayelove
nope not all i have three at the top of my back the only pain I had was if they hit my spine and then one on my neck that one caused pain. there are places that don't hurt at all. @jessica0830 guess I'm just use to it. but even my first my HR didn't increase until that bastard hit my spine
@hermommy, I just don't understand. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Tattoos are very painful. & you bleed if your skin is sensitive. So imagine when you bleed your pores starts to open and that can cause ink to travel into your body. That's dangerous. And some people go to a shop when they are not showing at all, but I know that if you go in their showing and all they will tell you NO & why!
I completely agree with not getting them while pregnant! Just want to make sure people properly understand why.
@hermommy, last I checked most places cause an increase in HR due to pain lol. I guess some people don't know that an increase in HR causes stress lol
@lafayelove, right girl lol i didn't know someone had to agree with us or our reasons
My post wasn't to offend anyone, my OBGYN has been in the field for 25 years and if she says don't get a tattoo period while being pregnant, IM GOING TO LISTEN TO WHAT SHE SAYS, that's common sense, & I'm not about to sit here and argue with nobody point blank & the period!
yes there are places on your body that cause on increase of heart rate due to pain 😂😂
lol k @charleerose I have 4 Idc the reason but to get them while pregnant is just stupid
Most of the risks associated with tattooing while pregnant are the same as not being pregnant (except the excess blood flow and increased HR) the only difference is that if an infection occurred or anything of that sort 1) it could be dangerous/fatal for the fetus 2) they can't prescribe the same medications because some of them could cause harm or defect to the fetus leaving a big chunk of treatment options out. Also if you were to pass out due to tachycardia because of your already increased HR the amount of oxygen lost could harm the fetus. I mean women choose to do it every day you just have to make sure you properly weigh out the risk.
@charleerose, I didn't say anything about the needles or any of that so there's nothing for you not to agree with.
Im not saying the needle itself causes pressure or stress but any amount of pain for a period of time causes an increase in heart rate. Even if it's only the slightest
we also have lots of friends who are tattoo artists and this has been a topic a few times
yo... this is a crazy ass post. I agree no tattoos while pregnant. I DO NOT agree with yalls reasons. like the needles don't cause pressure or stress you get a tattooo knowing that shit probably gonna hurt so its not a shock. the main reason tattoo shops won't do it is liability and they know it can be a waste of money. being pregnant our bodies change which changes our reactions to things we already have and know to be okay. the tattoos could reject or get infected just because of the different things going on with our bodies. I have 4 tattoos my SO has over 20 and just got another this past Wednesday. piercings are the same way. your body could reject it while pregnant but it could be 100% fine not pregnant. its mostly looking out for you, your money, and saving themselves from unneeded lawsuits. @alainasmama @blariqua_honey @emily18234 @hermommy @jessica0830 @lafayelove @scc2413 @tegreyy
She did also say your risk of infection may increase because in some pregnant women their immune systems are weakened (especially rh - carrying and rh+ baby) but yeah that's it.
I agree with @alainasmama my OB said the only risk is infection if the tattoo artist doesn't use sterile equipment and an increased amount of bleeding due to the increased blood flow in your body. She also warned about stress because when you're pregnant your heart rate is already increase so getting a tattoo can increase it even more than normal causing unnecessary stress on baby. Other than what I just stated there's no other adverse affects tattooing can cause to the fetus
not only contamination, but infection. I have 13 tattoos and every single one I had to sign off saying I was not pregnant.
@Tegreyy I didn't know when I was pregnant either until I found out from my OBGYN and she told me all the details about it & etc. everyone does not know about it, but I was just letting everyone know
@alainasmama, you came on my post hunny and commented, this is a PREGGIE app & I'm posting to warn women not to scare them, everyone should know, & on the second thought I will never look like an idiot for posting something to warn anyone about, I'm a grown woman & I post whatever I feel the need to post & I'm going to sit this right here, have a blessed day ma'am❤️
I got my chest tattooed when I was a few weeks pregnant but I had no idea I was ... But I'm fine ...
Alright look. You don't know me, you don't know my sources. And obviously wherever you are is different than where I am. Don't assume things because that makes you look like a complete idiot. I promise you all of my sources have licenses and are not doing anything illegally. Further more, you should not scare these other mamas by posting things like this, it is everybody's choice rather to get a tattoo while pregnant or not.
Nah luv @alainasmama those sources lied! You can not get a tattoo done while pregnant. I just don't understand how a person would even do that because the pressure the needle puts on your body is ridiculous. And the ink can get inside your body. When you are pregnant your skin becomes fragile, have you ever done a tatoo and you start to bleed? Welllllll if you bleed while you are pregnant while doing a tattoo that ink can get in your body. That's very dangerous. People won't get tattoos done at the shop because it's illegal, people are getting them done by people who aren't licensed, please stop getting info off of the Internet. I would never put my child in danger by getting a tatoo. The pain is too much, so just imagine what the baby feels. Especially if you are getting it done on your stomach.
Alrighty here.. I don't want to be in the middle of any fight that sounds like is going on here BUT, the only danger the baby would be in by getting a tattoo is if the artist did not use a sterile needle and new ink. Contamination is the only issue. Take that from a reputable source.. Or two or three or four. 💁🏻
they probably don't girl, alot of women don't know but their ob should tell them that was the first thing mine told me bc it can be dangerous the parlor shouldnt have done that knowing they were pregnant @blariqua_honey let them know it's not safe and the needles could be contaminated that's another
I almost got one and didn't know I was pregnant yet. Literally the only reason I didn't was because I had an apt with my tattoo artist but was throwing up all night so I called to cancel it and he couldn't reschedule for another 3 weeks and in the mean time is when I found out. Not many mom's would say this but thank God for morning sickness!
I'm just now seeing it @hermommy but Oo ok never knew that. @lafayelove Ik some women who have gotten theirs done while pregnant. I wonder if they know they are putting their pregnancy at risk
honestly tattoo parlors won't do it bc they can get sued of something happens to the baby also
she just told you, ^ and also the shock from getting it done can hurt the baby. being tattooed isn't an issue it's getting it done while pregnant that is hamrful@blariqua_honey
You are not supposed to get any tattoos while you are pregnant. You are putting the child at risk. You can get ink poison in your body. When you are pregnant your skin starts to get very sensitive. I know plenty of people that had gotten tattoos while pregnant & got in trouble for it by their OBGYN
and agreed like you can wait 9 months to get one don't risk your child over damn ink... I getting one covered and a new one in August After she is born
I know plenty of tattooed people with completely healthy babies. What do you mean it can harm the child ??
What would you do with $25,000
If you received an extra $25,000. What would you do with it? ?

Thanks! & that's all I was just trying to say, other countries allow it but I know the US doesn't. Unless you are getting them by someone who isn't licensed, My bf does tattoos beautiful work and he wouldn't even do it because he was scared that something might happen to the baby, and that was for my son
