Any tricks for speeding up labor?? Im 39+3 and being induced on thursday if i still havent progressed more than i have so far. Its all going very slowly. It took me 3 weeks (ish) to get from 2cm+30% to where i am now which is 4cm+80% .. on and off contractions all the time. i can time them for a while but they fizzle out before the 2 hours is up. then they come back later. its so frustrating! i want to have our baby girl naturally but i dont know what i can do!
spoonfuls of caster oil, tastes absolutely disgusting, butt bounce on a yoga ball or trampoline (make sure to stay sitting whole time), sex, extremely spicy food (take spoonfuls of hot sauce or eat a pepper), lunges, go up and down stairs, reach as high as you can then squat as low as you can over and over, masterbate (just clit stimulation)
you dont need a yoga ball to bounce. i just bounced at the edge of my bed
i got the loose leaves at a whole health foods store. i brewed it like i would with coffee about a quarter sized amount. the first day drink a cup and wait about 3hrs to see how you react to it i put honey in mine and it was great. i drink about 3 big cups a day which would total to 5 or 6 coffee cups. i would work my way up to that much for the first few days
Walmart usually has them for 8 bucks or so. 16 of you want the workout DVD. Any sporting goods store. They're also good for poatpartum!
@tayek, where can i get a yoga ball thats cheap? ive kind of wanted to try it! and @ce5ce can you explain that more? like how many cups to drink and stuff like that
red raspberry loose leaf tea got my contractions to get stronger and also walking and bouncing
I wouldn't do the castor oil thing too many risk involved. But you can turn your radio up to your favorite jams and dance Lol. I've seen that work a couple times. Lol. Id say just have fun with it cause baby will come when they want to. Nothing will truly jump start your labor but the baby being ready. Good luck 😊
