If your stomach feels tight, that happens because when you have the big "O" your body tightens up. maybe try doggy style. its more comfortable.

It is normal for your tummy to feel weird afterwards. Orgasms cause mild contractions and it makes your tummy really hard at the bottom. I don't believe its unsafe to do it any way really, you're just not supposed to lay on your back for extended periods of time. Further along I think women mainly stay on top or lay on their sides with pillows supporting them, but more for comfort not necessarily safety.
