where do you live??? people purposely ODing and methadone babies?? oh my goodness. why don't people just naturally put their child first

@emily18234, she's from New Jersey and we recently had a falling out over my nephew. he's a 32 weeker like my daughter and had to have a blood transfusion because she pushed him too hard. it was really bad :/ I won't talk to her now because she doesn't get it and my husband, her brother, doesn't think she should even have custody of her son.

as for where I live, drugs are really bad lately and most people I know are on something. they've been cracking down really hard here

I'm sorry, I agree. you have 9 months to get your shit straight. if you can't do it, you don't deserve that child.

@jadestarlight, I don't either. I actually think they're trying to do that behind her back by keeping him in there. I do know she needed a mental evaluation to even take him home because as my husband says "she's nuts"....@emily18234, I've spoken to my father in law and he sounds apprehensive about the baby coming home. I think he's worried she'll relapse back to heroin and he will end up caring for the baby

@emily18234, Camden has a horrible, horrible heroin issue right now and they live near Camden. all I can say is, I hope for the best....I just wish she wasn't in denial

they might if they are playing keep away with the baby. they most likely are. I had a "friend" test positive for meth nine months pregnant. they kept making excuses why she couldn't see him. if he is depended on methadone then. yeah child welfare better be very involved

Camden has a terrible problem period. I used to live in Jersey and the one time I went to Camden was the scariest day of my life...and I used to walk through south west and north Philly without hesitation

@emily18234, I went to the aquarium once as a teen and that alone made me nervous. I'm more comfortable walking the streets of NYC alone

Heroine is no joke now a days. I live in Ohio and it's absolutely terrible here. They just busted a Heroin ring that was running between 2 cities in Ohio one in Indiana and 2 in WV I think. They arrested like 32 people in connection with it. I hope everything gets figured out though! that baby doesn't deserve that. They may not have served her because they want to get a full charge on her and monitoring the baby is how they'll do that.

@scc2413, they busted a huge ring here over the summer and like some of the people you didn't even realize were involved -.- our heroin is coming out of Camden because they made links through overdoses here and there. don't get me wrong, she's clean of heroin, but methadone simply replaces the heroin in your system and isn't much better. I hope things get figured out with everything, I just can't stand by and keep my mouth shut anymore.

it's becoming a huge problem in a lot of places. My friend works at a pharmacy and she said at least 4 times a week they'll get people from where I live going in there to get the supplies for it. They try pharmacies over an hour away from my actual town. When I saw the list of people that for arrested from my hometown I literally knew all of them. It's good she's clean of heroine and hopefully it stays that way. There's been so many young lives here lost because of that stuff. I wouldn't keep my mouth shut either, be the voice for the baby if no one else will. Mother's instinct kicks in even if it isn't your baby. Your sil will have to realize you're trying to help and do what's best.
