When should I start buying the bigger things for my little man? I'm 26 w and everyone keep telling me to wait until I have my baby shower, but I don't think anyone would buy anything big.

I bought all the big stuff when I was about 3 months and then just asked for.the smaller stuff for my shower
I know. I don't like depending on people. I'm ready to start buying now. I've bought a lot of smaller things , but i'm so ready to get the bigger stuff out of the way.
If we saw something we liked we got it then. I agree with @babiio1 don't depend on anyone.

I'm waiting till the baby shower, that's why I planned my baby shower a month in a few weeks before my due date so I had time to get stuff.
I waited til my baby shower just in case lol . the biggest thing I got was the tub but idk , last shower I got a lot of stuff (not so many people came to this one ) . maybe if you make a registry and put big stuff on it
My in laws want me to wait till next month when I'll be 8 months. They are the ones getting me everything!
I pick stuff up when I see a really good deal on it because I personally didn't feel comfortable putting big ticket items on my registry. I'm only 17 weeks and have already gotten her a crib, changing table, and a glider for the nursery. I'll save stuff like a little bouncer and small items like that for the registry and baby shower.
