is it safe to drink wine or have a beer during your pregnancy like on occasion? I haven't drank at all but I want wine or a beer and I have an appointment tommorow what should I do. don't they pee test you for alcohol too
@noemysmom, yes I will I dint Wana hurt him or anything like that u got 2 more months so
half a glass of wine won't hurt but I've found a couple sips is more then enough..
no and @tylersbaby30 girl you are an amazing person and I appreciate everything you've written for once I am not the only to have some much knowledge on my own condition!!! I have (fasd) the spectrum portion but I am in the higher functioning spectrum but on a daily I struggle with some of the most basic things. but I do have a lot of medical issues because of it and I will forever be this way. but I appreciate what you wrote and I have so much respect for someone who takes their time to make other mothers aware!
As long as you're having a healthy pregnancy and not high risk for anything I don't see how one glass would hurt. I think it becomes an issue if you're an avid drinker.
@rochelleyayy, yea I heard about it being okay like one glass that's why I was asking
One glass of wine won't hurt. Sometimes I'll crave a beer with Clamato and ill have a sip and it will be enough for me. I feel guilty drinking more than a sip but I know there are people that drink a beer or glass of wine every now and then. My best friend drank wine and her baby came out perfect. It's personal preference.
I would say no this is what i found How does alcohol during pregnancy harm your baby?
When you drink alcohol during pregnancy, so does your baby. The same amount of alcohol that is in your blood is also in your baby's blood. The alcohol in your blood quickly passes through the placenta and to your baby through the umbilical cord.
Although your body is able to manage alcohol in your blood, your baby's little body isn't. Your liver works hard to break down the alcohol in your blood. But your baby's liver is too small to do the same and alcohol can hurt your baby's development. That's why alcohol is much more harmful to your baby than to you during pregnancy.
Alcohol can lead your baby to have serious health conditions, called fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). The most serious of these is fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS). Fetal alcohol syndrome can seriously harm your baby's development, both mentally and physically.
Alcohol can also cause your baby to:
Have birth defects (heart, brain and other organs)Vision or hearing problemsBe born too soon (preterm)Be born at low birthweightHave intellectual disabilitiesHave learning and behavior problemsHave sleeping and sucking problemsHave speech and language delaysHave behavioral problems

Yes I will have a glass of wine occasionally, nothing wrong with it☺️
ANY MOM'S BREASTFEEDING? I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF DRINKING BEER OR WINE IS OK WHILE BREASTFEEDING?
I can't wait to have a glass of wine. Or two. Or three. I can't wait to have a bottle of wine.
Beer recipes
Do any of you ladies have recipes that use beer? I bought a 6 pack that neither my husband or I like, but I don't want to waste it. I've cooked with wine before, but never beer. So if any of you have recipes, I'd love to hear them!
