Explain to me what it feels like when your contractions get stronger please. It feels like a punch to the gut or like a super strong menstrual cramp and it passes with the contraction. Are these stronger contractions or just something else?

I was induced and at 4 cm my contractions were so strong it really felt like my uterus/pelvic and hips were being shattered by a bat with maybe 30 seconds of breaks in between
to me, they felt like someone grabbing my uterus, squeezing it as hard as they could and twisting as well as stabbing. & those were contractions from 1-3 cm. I also was given a vaginal insert to help open my cervix, after they took it out, they weren't so bad. I fell asleep from 3-10 cm, with IV meds (no epidural) & the nubain meds just knocked me out. I'm a big baby when it comes to pain so I think you'll be okay :)
