Ok. For my first two I never even heard if a mini. So I used a regular one. Then a toddler bed and finally a twin. This one has to share,a room with my son, so I figured it would take up less space, but I don't want him to outgrow it too soon. Thanks for your input! @jnh199243

yep pretty much. when my kids got big enough they wanted to try to climb out I introduced a normal bed to them.

Did u use it until it was time to convert it to a toddler bed? @jnh199243

I have used both and personally I just really prefer my mini or the norm. more compact and works the same.
