So my daughter is only 12 days old and I think she's already teething? π
I'm a FTM So I have no idea how to handle the situation. Can she even be teething so young? I thought teething happens around 2 months? Help please. TIA π
she does it even after a feeding. it seems like she just wants to be on my boob, especially at night. Every time she's awake she just cries until I put her on my boob, she can just finish eating and still wanna latch on again. I just wanna hang out with her without her throwing a crying fit :/
Also, breastfed babies often don't like paci's, mine didn't and she never took a bottle so I never forced it on her...good thing I won't have to wean her from it later! They naturally wean from the boob when they're ready so it's a lot easier π just sayin, don't feel bad if she doesn't like pacifiers it's actually a good thing lol
When they put their hands in their mouth at that age it's usually a hunger cue, and calcium deposits can come and go in their gums so you may be feeling that...you'd have to look at the gums, and if you see a bump that kinda looks red maybe even bloody, there's a tooth coming in, if not you've likely got MONTHS before one actually pokes through. My daughter started teething around 2 months, she's 5 months and hasn't cut any teeth through yet! It is POSSIBLE for babies to teethe that early but unlikely. Sometimes babies really get super fussy over gas or upset stomach of colic or whatever, sometimes just going through some developmental change and noticing more of the world around them makes them fussy! Just give her extra cuddles, run her belly clockwise for gas and plenty of booby time lol...and keep an eye on her gums to watch for signs of teeth poking through! She will drool A LOT when teething, bite EVERYTHING and may be cranky, may not just depends on the baby...she also may get red cheeks or a low grade fever!
I've did so, she just spits it right out. My mother in law and i both felt her gums and it felt like teething. She is gassy but that's because she's only breastfed, she seems too fussy for it to just be gas
she may just need soothing. shes not hungry but needs something to calm her. my daughter did want the paci either. just kinda hold it there and let your baby get use to it. they will come around until they learn to suck there fingers
