Rant: I see post about mothers who say they only having a baby shower for the first baby and not any other. That just confuses me. I want my child feeling just as wanted and special as the first child. To me a baby shower is celebrating the new baby. So to not have any other is liking saying this child want sleep or loved enough. And if it's about presents and not seeming like you just want gifts just tell people not to bring any. I'm making sure all my children know from day one they were always loved and cherished and celebrated.
That's when people usually have a "sprinkle". It's not so much about not celebrating the second child, where as some think it's tacky to ask for more gifts not long after the first. They usually say that if it's been less than 3 years since your first baby shower, then you should just have a smaller "party" (or "Sprinkle".) and not register. You usually end up with lots of gifts anyway, but, you just don't ask for particular items. I think that's why people don't usually have a second full on shower. It's just to not seem greedy or needy. 😊
I know @supermom1104 That's why I said when it is reasonable. I know I hated it when my mother would tell me to act more like my sister.
yea but sometimes you can't always treat your kids the same because they are two, different ppl my mom always compares her children to the next when we are all different so instead of adjusting to our personalities she wishes we were all the same
I understand that. I would want my kids to feel equal even if they don't realize it. I just think what you do for one you should do for the other when it's reasonable. @supermom1104 your situation is one I completely understand.
I didnt have one for my first so I'd feel bad having one for my second if I had another
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
