so my nurse tried to explain what a "low lying placenta " is but I didn't understand anything except for that my cervix is partially covered....
can anyone explain it to me

as your belly grows the placenta will be pulled upward. I had a low laying placenta too and I'm just over 37 weeks with no issues.

your placenta is covering your cervix a little. it's partial placenta previa. i had placenta previa and now it's completely anterior (in front) the placenta should be in the back. nothing to worry about except it can cause cervical irriration and cause bleeding.

basically the placenta isn't high up like it should be instead of being in the back front or top of the uterus is partially covering your cervix. chances are itll move:)@sam208 mine did
