If I remember correctly, one of those tiny packs of flavoring has over 1000mg of sodium. The average American consumes about 2,300 a day, and anyone on a low sodium diet should only consume 1,500. Basically, if you're low sodium (mommies should definitely watch sodium intake) then only thing you can eat is ONE pack of ramen and not much else the rest of the day.
