ladies what are your thoughts on this?

every baby is different, however with that said I wait until 6 months which is what my Dr and my wic nurse both say

I heard you're supposed to wait until 6 months because:

Immature intestines

Tongue-thrust reflex

Immature swallowing mechanism

Inability to sit up

Inability to chew

Lack of imitation

my doctor said ok at four months so that why I did it him and I both thought my son was ready and he was

I wouldn't give a baby baby food at 4 months. I started about halfway or maybe a little over 5 months... idk if it's right or wrong. just personal preference.

@elenasmommy I don't a doctor would say ok at 4 months if it wasn't good for your baby. but you're right :)

Yea every baby is different but there organs still mature at the same rate. That's all I'm saying to each it's own. ☺️☺️👍🏽

my son had baby food not actual solids that ha e to be chewed ,yea I don't like the word neglectful

@elenasmommy, my son weights 17 pounds at 3 months and his doctor said he can eat at 4 months. every baby is different

a babies stomach is just more matured by the age but doesn't necessarily mean to feed them solids

I gave my.soon baby food at four months and he was fine. my doctor told me to start when I did because he wasn't gaining weight like he should

I don't like that she said neglectful but I agree with the rest. Shouldn't be feeding baby's solid food yet there's an actual reason...because there system isn't made to digest it yet... The doctors don't say not to do it just for fun
