I waited until 19 weeks at my sono to see. No blood test!

It's usually called panoramic. It is sometimes suggested, but my doctor said wasn't necessary. A lot of insurances don't cover it or much of it.

most insurances won't cover it unless you are high risk or it's medically necessary, which is probably why your doctor hasn't said anything about it.

I wasn't high risk or anything and my doctor let me pick it and my insurance covered it... i have Medicaid too I never even heard of it before they suggested it

My insurance covered it and my dr mentioned it to me I did test at 12 weeks and they call me at 13 weeks and told me I was having a girl. I wasn't high risk it was a test to determine downs also.

I had it at 11wks, results at 12wks. Doc asked me if I wanted it. I'm high risk.

I just switched doctors and then they told me at 17 weeks. you can probably mention it too but some places don't have it and only find out from ultrasound at 20 weeks. my boy wasn't hiding it and I found out at 16 weeks!! lol. @adreonna

that's good! I go back in 2 weeks to have another ultrasound with the ACTUAL ultrasound tech instead of the doctor.
