So my doctor called me she said the results of my glucose it came out positive so I have to go the hospital for 7 days to monitor my blood sugar,and talk to the dietician.. is it really necessary to follow my doctor? my husband and I don't have a family history of diabetic and the results of my glucose is not that really bad..need some advice here :(

That's probably why they want you monitored! Safety precautions! Just do what the say. They're trying to do what's best for you and your baby.

Yes it is VERY important you follow the doctors directions.

@kmally, I did 1 hour before but the result is positive and they test me again for 3 hour's and the results is negative and after 30 weeks of my pregnancy they test me again for 3 hours and the result is positive... :(

Pregnancy diabetes is different than regular- definitely follow the Drs orders to be safe.

Did you have a one hour or three hour test done? Typically they do a three hour test if you fail your one hour. I've never heard of having to go to the hospital for so long. It really is super important to meet with the dietician and track your blood sugars though. Even though gestational diabetes doesn't run in your families doesn't mean you can't have it and that it can't be dangerous. ❤️

Follow your doctor. If you need to be monitored it's for a very good reason. Some people just develop diabetes during pregnancy. It happens. It'll go away once you deliver but you need to learn how to take good care of yourself and make sure everything is ok.

do what your doctor says. they wouldn't have you do all that if there wasn't a cause of concern. it may be mild or moderate now but could go out of control. they're probably just wanting to track it to be safe.
