so we went to Walmart. me and other wondering where the parents are to this little girl wondering around. she had to maybe two. she was socking on a pacifier holding her teddy looking for her parents. nobody could see parents looking for her. so I picked her up and took her to the front to find a manager, after talking to a few people, the dad finally ran up looking for his daughter. I knew she was his cause she looked just like him. my heart was so scared. I thought somebody left their baby. if the police had came I wouldn't have stayed by her side to figure it all out. but thankfully he came and got her and he was worried. he thanked me. seemed like 15-20 minutes passed by before anyone came looking for her. bout to leave the store and I see the little girl in the cart, her mom is pushing the cart and gives me a go to hell look. that was confusing. she didn't seem concerned at all, but the father did come back up to me to thank me for taking care of her. we wonder why the mother wasn't freaking out? why she didn't seem concerned? why she didn't talk to me? I understand some people are just weired about people holding their kids. but I didn't know where the parents were, and I didn't want someone to hurt her. I also didn't feel comfortable running around the store looking for the parents. I figured, best choice management would call lost child over the intercalm. I know some kids just run off sometimes, but you have to watch. not wait for the longest time before you figure out your child is missing. idk why they didn't have the little girl sit in the cart the first time.

@oklahoma1999, I was wondering if the mother just put her down, like they were gonna leave her. I definitely watched her father and mother. you never know. I hope the little girl is taking good care of. I told my husband if someone would have abandoned her, I would have stayed with her and the police till they figured something out. I would have adopted the little girl. she seemed so scared, and quite. :( I don't how her parents could just forget about her. I'm very happy the father was worried and came up to the front. don't understand the mother tho. both parents should have been running around freaking out about her. he just comes up to me asking me where she was, and said come on Elizabeth, careing around a farret.

I know. I just don't know why it took him so long. but thankfully he got her. I really wished the mother would have showed she cared.

That is so sad! thank God you found her before someone else did. I've seen this happen way to much. I had a similar thing happen saw this sweet little girl with a dirty face, no shoes and saggy diaper walking in an isle in Walmart. I followed her trying to get her to take her to the service desk when she saw her mother two isles down talking to a friend I guess with a kid a few years older on her hip in the same condition. She didn't even notice me following the baby just said "Oh, there you are." and continued talking away.

@emilybbyh, this little girl had a dirty face a soaked diaper as well. I've dealt with your situation before as well. I worked at aldi, outside at night changing the trash. and this baby comes walking across the street. I ran to him and scooped him up so fast and took him to his parents. they were talking away to their friends and had no clue their kid was gone. just grabbed him from me and said o. like really? that baby could have gotten hit by a car. my husband told me that parents actually abandon their kids at Walmart all the time. I think that is so sad. these kids deserve better. @emilybbyh I really hope shes cared for at home. I'm hope both parents are good to her. it's so sad for kids to get treated bad. I do understand that kids run off in stores all the time. but should not take parents long to notice and to run for them. she was so good and so quite, she should have been in the cart in the first place.
