Actually went and talked to a midwife and doula today. They were lovely and only made me more confident in my decision.
It's going to be rough coming up with the money but it's worth it to have the birth that I want.
idk if it's different in Ohio but I have a midwife here in Michigan, she's through an actual office and works with doctors so if I need a c section or stitches or anything like that I'm taken care if but she takes my Medicaid so I'm all covered. you could look into those kind. She delivers at the hospital but has her own wing. Which means I get a private room, I get to wear my own clothes, no iv, she is all for the natural methods such as massage, water birth, even birthing in the rocking chair and on the same note if something changes and you want drugs or epidural that is available too. its really the best of both worlds. I had an amazing experience with my first and can't wait for this one!
