@gypsy.soul2, neither on me. I was supposed to get an NT scan a blood test done. the scan was just gonna be a sonogram. to check for down syndrome and abnormalities. but there was a miscommunication between my doctors office and the highrisk doctor she referred me to. who I'm seeing for the first time tomorrow. when I was 12 weeks. I was supposed to get a call from the high-risk doctor. almost 15/ weeks they tell me they never received my paperwork from my doctor. my doctor tells me they did. so somebody is clearly lieing trying to cover their asses. because I'm now to far to check on my babies. which makes no since to me. there's other down syndrome test doctors do, where they take a piece of the placenta or amniotic sac, and that can cause a loss of a baby. I don't know why they still do test like that. that should have definitely been banned. if they can do a sonogram for it with twins, they can do it for all babies. and only offer the safest for mothers and babies.

@shannaa24, they stuck a needle in your vagina? or your belly... I'm thinking of the amniocentesis test.. I'm shocked they still do that bc it's so traumatic

Basically you have a portion of your baby's dna in your blood. so, as early as 10 weeks, they can draw your blood and harvest the baby's dna from it. then they test the blood for chromosomal abnormalities and that reveals the gender. It usually takes 5-10 days to get the results and its supposed to be 99% accurate. They usually do it in,sequence with an NT scan. Some insurance companies cover it, but even if they don't, its usually $200-350. Sometimes its called the panorama or maternity21 test. :)

don't do the test where they stick a needle in your vagina. if they offer you just the sonogram that's fine. the other test can cause you to lose your baby. one of my doctors obviously screwed up with communicating between each other and i may not get to see if my twins have down syndrome. I go to my first high risk doctor tomorrow to check for ttts. hopefully they'll check for down syndrome since somebody f***** up. my husbands definitely thinking about sueing.
