Do you mommas feed on demand or feed them on a set schedule? Just wondering because my pediatrician said that a schedule is good but the nurses at the hospital said to just feed on demand lol, a little confused. 😥
If you're breastfeeding it is very important to feed on demand, pediatricians rarely know anything besides basic info on breastfeeding and their advice should be taken with a grain of salt lol. Breastfeeding is supply on demand, so if you feed the baby when he or she hungry rather than in a schedule, you body will produce as much as your baby needs and it's far easier to make sure your supply is always good. I've been exclusively breastfeeding for 5 months now and I haven't pumped or supplemented at all, and I know it's because I have always let her eat whenever she's hungry, for as long as she likes!
Good point! @azmommy85 @myliltadpole1116 Thank you 😊😊😊
@milasmomma, do what works for you and baby. Nursing on demand builds your supply but if she's two months , that should already be established. Mine is a month and some days he eats every 2 hrs or so and some days he is on my boob constantly
I feed on demand. Im not going to wait it out 3 hours and let her cry. I'm breastfeeding and she let's me know when she's hungry
When mine was that little she would eat ever 3 hours.. So she was on a schedule pretty much cause she would start looking for a bottle every three to four hours
Do you guys have your babies on a "feeding schedule" or do you feed on demand? (Breastfed babies)
what's everyone's preference demand or scheduled feeding ?
Officially implementing phase 1 of weaning: feeding on a schedule
Should I wake my baby to feed her? Does anyone have a feeding schedule and what is it like?
Thank you! 😊😊😊 @hellosweetie
