Mines checked me at 39 weeks for the first time. It triggered labor for me, so I'm glad she didn't do it early. She was a midwife and told me it's not good to constantly check the cervix every week (unless something's obviously wrong)

it all depends on the ob. my first pregnancy I got checked at 36 weeks. this 2nd time I'll be 38 weeks Thursday and he's going to check me for the first time on Friday.
