I was just thinking while chatting with another momma how MIL's get when we have babies. It seem like they want to be in control of everything that we do. You all never see me post about my MIL because I learned to ignore her. You'll never see me bash her and call her out of her name like a lot of ladies do. I think that is very disrespect to our men. However, she gets on my nerve sometimes. I think they become jealous and want to control everything we do. Unfortunately for them, they are not the parents which mean they don't make decisions for our children. I had to let my husband and his mother know that my child is not to call her mama. Why? Because she's not. She does this with her daughter's child. That child calls her own mother by her name and her grandma mama. That's not happening this way. The only way my child will ever call another woman mama is if I die and my husband marries a woman that my child wants to call mama. I am my son's only mother!

I agree, My ex mil was horrid. :/ Trying to control how I raise my daughter while I married her screw up.

I totally understand, ive always tried to respect my MIL , she's put me through a lot of undeserving crap ...but I agree she likes to be mom Susana and my daughter has ONE MOM ..its just weird to me , my boyfriends brothers daughter was like where's my mom and I didn't know if she meant her Mom or her grandma, its not right

Thankfully, my future mil has NOTHING to do with my life or kids now, mainly because my fiancé and I put a stop to her antics and she doesn't claim his kids as her grandkids anyway and then asks me when she can have my son... woman, you will not have my son unsupervised.. SORRY! Not Sorry. 😂😂😂

well as long as you let that be known and she disrespects that then I'd stear clear for a while...you're both adults, if she can't respect you then she doesn't deserve your presence

My MIL does not even talk to us . My whole pregnancy she said she was getting a carseat for us . When we had her she still had not got it . Even though everytime my fiance would mention it she told us not to worry . Our daughter is born last month and she said she would get it the day after she was born . She had my fiance go buy it and tells him she will pay him that day . When my fiance asks she said I don't have that much money ! She knew how much it was the whole time .Said she would give him 100 only have him 50. He calls her out on it . She gets pissed that he did and blocks as on facebook and won't answer our texts . Over a freaking carseat ! I have never heard of someone calling their grandma , mama. That's weird and confusing
