Lately all I've been craving is a deli sandwich, although I know not to eat deli meat because of how it can harm not only you but your baby so I have been resisting. But now I am reading that you can eat deli meat if you heat it up.. so my questions are if it's safe to eat chicken deli meat opposed to the others (i.e. Turkey) and also if you do heat up the deli meat do you have to eat it when it's hot or could I heat it up in the morning and then make a sandwich and eat it cold at lunch..

also looking for any insight on this topic or advice

Thank you!

Also, America is the only country that says not to eat it.

Eat a sandwich, I promise you will be just fine.!

Everyone is at risk for listeria, your chances don't go up while pregnant, just make sure you get it from a clean place, I've probably eaten 52 COLD deli meat sandwiches.

31 weeks and baby is doing perfect, and no listeria here.!

Yes, you can eat deli meat but yes you do need to heat it till its steaming in the microwave, around 10-15 seconds. You can then use it right away, or put it in the fridge to use at a different time - either way, as long as its been heated, its fine. ☺
