How do you ladies feel about your SO having friends that are single females? I don't know if it's my jealousy and insecurities or if I'm right in feeling how I do- but I don't feel like a man in a committed relationship should have a friendship with a single woman.

And you are right. My rule is if she was not your friend before us then y now? I went through this with my now husband he hid the friendship from me and I found out because she called him to come over and hang I was PISSED. I've been trying to get over that though it's hard cause I didn't even know or saw any signs 😒😒

My boyfriend seems to think it's totally ok for him to be friends with a girl that he used to sleep with (although they were friends before then and were only ever f-buddies) but I'm totally not ok with her texting him and saying she misses him or asking him to come visit (she lives in a different city.) I know He wouldn't/ isn't cheating on me, but I'm pissed that he doesn't see where it's inappropriate. He hasn't encouraged the conversations, but he hasn't straight up told her no either and it's annoying to me. There's never been any flirting or anything like that and he let's me read the texts if I find out she texts him, but he's never forthcoming without me asking or looking and it irritates me.

he hasn't gone to hang out with her. he hasn't even seen her since we got together almost 2 years ago, and the conversations are only once every few months. but I don't like her checking up on him. another new annoyance is a girl he works with. she is 18 or 19 and supposedly "super nice." she gives him rides home from work when they close together because he doesn't have a car, and we are currently living in two different cities (about 30 min apart but we see each other for two or three days a week.) but he missed a day or two of work a few weeks ago and she texted him and asked how he was feeling and proceeded to just make small talk. he claims he didn't give her his number (the number was unsaved) so that raises the question of- if he is telling the truth- why would she go looking for his number if her intentions are innocent? she knows about me and our baby. it's no secret, we used to work for the same company (small mom and pop who own two restaurants) and everyone knows about everyone even though we've never met. I told him I don't think its appropriate for he's to be texting him just to chat if she is just a co-worker who occasionally gives him rides to work and he said I was being paranoid, that she was probably just checking to see if he would be at work to see if he needed a ride, but she never asked that. he finally cut the conversation short and told her that it was making me uncomfortable.

that wouldn't be okay with me. Me and my boyfriend exclude anyone who we had something to do with. you're totally right

@erika1815, it's totally not. he claims he wouldn't doubt me if the tables were turned but I just feel like it's a matter of respect. even if in his mind he can't relate to how I feel, I feel like he should put an end to it simply because it upset me and he should respect my feelings.

that's true. if something bothers you, it should be something he considers instead of arguing and hurting you

@erika1815, and like I've said, I've read the texts. he never crosses the line or says anything that makes me worry about him particularly. but it bothers me that he doesn't see where she shouldn't say she misses him or that she wishes he could come hangout. he says she is just lonely and misses him as a friend and he's being nice by responding to her. but I don't think he should be nice. I don't care if she's lonely lol.

@babyreeves, lmao exactly what I would say. someone else could keep her company. Some girls just don't know how to stop themselves

thank you! that's my point exactly. I trust him. I know he's head over heels for me, he has to be to put up with my crap. but I don't trust her, and I don't want another female trying to get close to my man in the hopes that things go south. it's just obnoxious. @erika1815

I have gone through this with my wife. I tried telling her about her supposed "family" which isn't blood family that one of her bffs daughters had a thing for her. mind you she's 24 an emotional mess can't keep a girlfriend for nothing and basically is just immature. when we were just dating she had them above me. well we got married and she would hang out with the sisters including that one I warned her about. well i was right she tried to get my wife to take her out even got mad because she told my wife I got dressed up for you. my wife cut her and that whole "family" off. and now our marriage is better than ever... sorry for the long story but no single femake friends hell I don't even trust some married females because some don't care about marriage relationshipa or anything
