I'm pregnant with my third baby and I'm considering cloth diapering this time around! I did Honest Co. disposables with my last two children and they were very costly, and didn't hold up the greatest. Who here cloth diapers? Would you recommend it? How do I start? TIA. :)
If you don't want to wash every day, I'd suggest having around 24 diapers honestly.
I started with the best bottoms system with 3 covers and 12 inserts. It wasn't ideal and I was washing everyday, but I did it! I now have about 40 diapers and inserts.
@mommytoababybean, @kmally How many diapers and inserts should I start out with? And thanks for your responses! :)
Love love love cloth. Try out a bunch before you choose. And I would definitely recommend spending a bit on a good stash--they fit better and will last a lot longer! My favorite brands are grovia, best bottoms, and moraki! I also avoid all microfiber as it tends to have compression leaks and hold stink a lot worse than natural fibers :) if you have any questions at all let me know!
I did a bunch of research on cloth diapers and found that bumgenius is the best. apparently it's the most absorbant and also has the best fit. another great thing is that they are one size so you only need to buy 24 until ur baby is out of diapers.
