Am I the only one who gets SUPER irritated when people pawn their kids off to me at a dinner, event, etc., and they say "it's good practice for you!" I've worked with young children for YEARS. I don't think I need practice... especially with your bratty 5 year old. Or when there's a child throwing a tantrum or a crying baby & people say "Oh you just wait!" 🙄 I'm too damn pregnant to tolerate people and their stupid comments lol

i wouldn't do it. I've had plenty of practice before i had my own.

I would be extremely annoyed at that. Like don't use me as an excuse to get rid of your kids for a while. Acting like you're doing me a favor. No. Just no.

@tarajune2016, It just happened to me at my SIL's birthday dinner last night. My other SIL's two girls were acting out of control & could not stay in their seats and were reaching all over the table, climbing everywhere, etc... and I heard her say "I should probably be down there watching my kids but it's good practice for them." WTF. I don't need the practice.. especially when we will NEVER let our son act like that In public!! I was just letting them run ramped, because I'm not about to parent someone else's kids!
Tara·
yea i uNderstand. its irritating.

my sister does it to me. yes i have two kids already n they don't act anything like hers do. they are disrespectful n just out of control

@sweeetdee, Thats exactly my thought too! I couldn't even enjoy my SIL's surprise birthday dinner because her kids were sitting on both sides of me, acting like little hellions, driving everyone nuts! I don't even see it as practice because my son will know darn good and well that it is NOT acceptable to act like that in public! It had me fuming last night!! Lol

@tarajune2016, It really is irritating! Although it is the perfect example of how we will raise our son NOT to act lol

hahah I'm so sorry you have to deal with that! And what they don't realize is that your not birthing a damn toddler, you'll have a itty bitty newborn baby. imo that's completely different from a toddler. lol
